What is a referral?
A referral is the act of assisting someone with finding the best licensed agent in their location or concentrated area of real estate to assist with their real estate needs. For example, a real estate agent is licensed in Maryland and a buyer wants to purchase a property in New York; if the agent is only licensed in Maryland they're unable to conduct
real estate transactions in New York. However, the client/customer can be referred to a real estate agent who is licensed in New York.
